February 2016 Kinder Muse Newsletter

First, here are a few shout-outs!

Here’s to Wes Alexander who had two poems published in the Big Foot Issue of Devolution Z, two poems in the October 2015 Spaceports & Spidersilk, a poem in the January 2016 Spaceports & Spidersilk, and one scifaiku in the Winter issue of Star*Line.  His story “Blue Moon” will be in the Disharmony of the Spheres anthology, and he will have two poems forthcoming in August’s  Trysts of Fate – and he’s the featured poet in the February issue of Scifaikuest.

YT just published an ebook at Smashwords: Networking Tips for Writers: Envisioning Success, with cover art by Marcia Borell.

Looking forward to posting YOUR accolades here. Email me by month’s end and I’ll include your news in March’s newsletter.

Contests

Thornton Sully just posted a new contest! For those of you who aren’t familiar with A Word with You Press, it was, and continues to be, one of my favorite online writing communities. While I haven’t been hanging around there as much as I used to, that is going to change. Check out the contest guidelines here.

If you are hosting a contest and/or know of one in process, please send me the particulars. While I could comb the web for contests and submission calls, I prefer highlighting the ones sent to me by readers.

What are you writing – and submitting – now?

Since I’m keeping THAT novel on the back-burner a while longer, I’ve been writing poetry and fiction. To date, I’m waiting to hear back on five short stories and approximately ten poems. Crossing my tentacles. . .

The Ocean Beach Writers Networking Group

Looking forward to seeing the locals here this Thursday! Please follow this linkfor details.

The Boortean Embassy Salon

I will be hosting the next literary salon on Saturday, February 27, from 1:00PM to 3:00PM (PST). Follow this link for more details.

I am also gearing up to offer a four-session writing workshop. More details to follow. For those in San Diego, I will be offering a live workshop at Te Mana Cafe in either March or April. More details to follow once I get organized.

A Day in the Life Interview Series

Last week, I posted a new interview with mystery and thriller writer, Martin Roy Hill.
If you’d like to participate in my Day in the Life Interview series, please email me at tlrelf@gmail.com for the questions. There are thirty interviews posted now, and I would love to highlight each and every one of you. This is a great way to share your wisdom and knowledge as well as gather new fans for your work!

Thank you for reading – and sharing – this newsletter!  You may have noticed that I moved The Kinder Muse newsletter link. . .It makes more sense to me to have this at my author et al site.

Until next time. . .

Have an awesome month!
