The Kids’ Drabble Contest – Submit NOW!

Greetings, Haurans!

Your Humble Ambassador wants to remind you that the Embassy seriously wants to release this collection of drabbles by young Haurans. You can assist the current and future generations of your planet’s species – and beyond – by encouraging podlings to write drabbles! The Embassy staff is beside itself with anticipation! We know that your podlings are geniuses and will take Haura into the future – and to the stars!

Even though this collection is open until full, it is our most sincerest hope that young Haurans throughout the world will rise to this occasion to reveal the truths of first contact. . .

Humbly Yours,

The Boortean Ambassador

Sozar to everyone that submitted to Alban Lake Publishing’s 14th Drabble Contest, Extra-terrestrial Reincarnation! The Embassy has just sent out all of the acceptance letters . . . The winners and honorable mentions will be posted in the June 2019 “View from the Lake” newsletter along with the theme for the 15th Drabble Contest.

While you’re waiting, why not write a drabble or two or 13 to hone your prose! You can also purchase some awesome books – including a new coloring book with illustrations by Marcia Borell – at our Infinite Realms bookstore!

Humbly Yours,

The Boortean Ambassador

Last Call for Poetry Submissions for Tales for the Moonlit Path’s Demented Mother’s Day Issue

Reaching out to all you wonderfully horrific and demented poets . . .

I still need poems for our upcoming issue! You have until Sunday at the latest to submit. Check out the guidelines here. . .

Here’s to channeling something historical, perhaps!

Your Poetry Editor,

Terrie

Thank You, Dear Friends of Boort!

While I did make a post on FB about The Embassy being stretched to the Four Corners of the Universe – and Beyond! (or something to that effect . . .), I just wanted to post something here as well. Sozar to everyone that submitted to our 14th contest: Extra-Terrestrial Reincarnation! I’ve chosen the first and second-place winners, along with the honorable mentions, which have been sent to our Fearless Leader. Remember that you are all considered to be winners in our universe! These will be posted in the April “View From the Lake” Newsletter, which will arrive shortly. Meanwhile, you can feast your mind and senses on March’s.

The Embassy staff will be sending out acceptance letters by the end of the week (or thereabouts . . . you know about that space-time continuum thing better than most). Remember that this is a contest, so if your work hasn’t been accepted for the upcoming issue, you won’t receive a notification.

For future reference, a most-excellent practice is to to submit more than one contest entry – and to read the guidelines as if they were a lifeline and tether while you’re out on a space walk (which they are, theoretically).

Meanwhile, please visit our site for untold turns of inspiration and adventure! So much awaits you at our bookstore . . . we know you can’t just read one!

Humbly Yours,

The Boortean Ambassador

The OB Writers Networking Group – Updates!

Whether you’re already a core member or are considering joining us on Thursdays at Te Mana Cafe, I wanted to let you know about a few updates.

First of all, R.G. Ryan has graciously assumed the position of social director. He has created a private group on Facebook called Write Brained, so check it out!

Secondly, if you have received an “unsubscribe” notice from MailChimp, it’s because you’ve either moved away or haven’t been attending our group. Just cleaning house . . .

Here’s to success with all of your writing goals!

Best,

Terrie

Thank you to everyone who submitted to Tales from the Moonlit Path’s Demented Mother’s Day Issue
