What is a life coach?

You may have heard of life coaches and wondered what they do. There are a wealth of individuals who refer to themselves as coaches, and it’s possible one of the first images that appears in your mind is of a personal trainer. While many personal trainers may be life coaches, not all life coaches are personal trainers.

What’s the difference?

As I see it, one of the purposes of a personal trainer is to assist you with attaining optimal physical health. This will vary from person-to-person, but in general, they will create a specific plan just for you. This plan may include various types of sports and movement activities, along with resources and guidance on the right foods to eat to nourish your body and enhance your overall well-being. Many personal trainers also provide motivational and emotional support as they realize the connection between your body and mind.

A life coach is also dedicated to your optimal physical health – and to your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being!
